NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT

Each team will play no fewer than 5 games!

Initial Pool Seeds:
Teams receive qualifying seeding points for each qualification they achieve during the regular season. A 1st place qualification is worth 4 points with 3 points for 2nd, 2 points for 3rd, and 1 point for 4th.

Pool play is also significant, since only the top teams in each pool advance into the National Championship bracket. Remaining teams enter the consolation bracket.

Pool Play:
You'll begin with three to five pool games to determine which teams advance to National Championship play.

Championship Bracket Play:
The top pool teams advance to the National Championship bracket. After your seeding into the championship tourney bracket is determined, teams begin bracket play .

Consolation Bracket:
All teams that do not finish in the top of their pool and have not completed a minimum of 5 games shall be included in the consolation bracket.

Bracket Seeding:
Following pool play, all teams advancing to the National Championship bracket will be seeded based on pool performance and results. Thereafter, the bracket structure shall determine the next opponent.

Elimination:
Once bracket play begins, a loss eliminates a team from winning the tournament.

HOW TO ENTER THE SUPER STARS BASKETBALL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

All teams participating in a Super Stars National Championship event must have qualified in a Super Stars qualifying tournament. A list of all qualified teams is sent from our national office to each championship event host for verification.

ALL ENTRIES ARE TO BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE SUPER STARS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR.

While many teams will have qualified for each National Championship event, we will accept only up to the first 16 qualified entries. It is our hope to have a perfect 16-team bracket. Each team will play three pool games for seeding - then commence a pure double-elimination bracket. Each team is assured of a 5-game minimum.

ROSTER CHANGE INFORMATION

ROSTER CHANGES ARE NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE:
All roster changes must be made online at our Roster Control Center, using the team's ID and PASSWORD. ALL LETTERS in your password MUST BE CAPITALIZED. Faxes to the Super Series office are no longer accepted.

Once a roster change is made, the team may print a new roster certificate.

ADDING A PLAYER:
Provided the player is not already on another registered team, you simply add the player and all data required through the Roster Control Center.

HANDWRITTEN ADDED PLAYERS:
Handwritten added players to your roster are unacceptable. Such players would be ineligible and your team will be disqualified. ALL players must be added through the Roster Control Center and you must present a printed roster to the tournament director.

Any team using players who are not on file in the Super Stars office will be disqualified.

If the player is on another registered roster, the system will not allow the player to be added to your team until dropped by his/her present team.

RE-REGISTERING YOUR TEAM

Occasionally, due to injuries or attrition, teams choose to re-register and form a new team. Now, in order to do this, you must e-mail the Super Stars office informing us that you are terminating your present roster/registration. Be sure to include your team registration number in your e-mail. Our office will then delete your present registration. This makes all players on your former roster "Free Agents." They may then be added to your new registration, or another team's registered roster.

If you choose to re-register, or form a new team, all prior qualifications are voided. You MUST qualify your new roster to participate in the Super Stars National Championships.

DISBANDING YOUR TEAM

If you choose to disband your team and release your players, the team manager must e-mail or fax the Super Stars office giving us your team name, registration number, and password. Your roster will be terminated and your players will be released.

INSURANCE

Super Stars Basketball provides insurance that covers all teams participating in the National Championship Tournament. This policy covers all registered players for the dates of the tournament only. Coverages are provided while participating as a member in a scheduled National Championship tournament game. Policy covers specific losses resulting directly and independently of all other causes, from accidental bodily injury sustained while participating as a member in the National Championship tournament
.

GUEST PLAYERS

Super Stars does not allow "guest" players. They are either are on your registered roster - or they are ineligible.

STATE OF RESIDENCE

Super Stars rules require that all players come from within your state. Occasionally, for border communities only, we grant border exemptions up to a certain distance. To add any out-of-state player, you must have a written border exemption from Super Series attached to your roster.

To request a border exemption, you must make the request in writing (e-mail is acceptable) stating the location (city) of your team, and the specific physical residential address of the player you wish to add. You will receive a written reply from Super Series to your request.

PRESENTATION OF ROSTER

A copy of your Super Stars registration/roster must be submitted to the tournament director prior to participation in every event. Only those players on your roster will be permitted to participate. Participation by a player not on your roster results in immediate disqualification from the tournament, and possible disqualification from Super Stars for the remainder of the season.

NEED A ROSTER COPY?

If you need a copy of your team registration, you may obtain one by visiting our Roster Control Center - enter your team ID and Password and print another copy. ALL LETTERS in your password MUST BE CAPITALIZED.
